APPSC exam: Wrong exam centre in hall ticket baffles candidates in Vizag

A number of candidates appearing for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) examination for the recruitment of Panchayat Secretary (Grade IV) were in for a shock in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, after they found that there was no examination centre when they reached the spot mentioned in the hall ticket.

According to candidates, they had been allotted examination centre as Sri Adarsha Junior college, Timmapuram area in Visakhapatnam city in the hall ticket. Many of them have reached the examination centre from far-off places, including interior areas, only to find out that there is no such college at the given location. Even the police who were assigned duty at the examination centre were baffled.

“We received hall ticket about one week ago. I checked in Google about the college and we had several images of college building, logo etc. But after coming to centre, we are shocked,” said Killo Jeevan, an APPSC candidate from Araku valley.

The candidates also alleged that they have been trying to contact the authorities in the toll free number provided, but it’s not working.
