Ayodhya title suit appeals: Supreme Court to rule on mediation on March 8

The Supreme Court is scheduled to pronounce its order on March 8 on referring the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute case for mediation for an amicable settlement.

On March 6, a five-judge Constitution Bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, reserved the order after hearing various contesting parties.

Hindu bodies, except the Nirmohi Akhara, have opposed the suggestion of the court to refer the issue for mediation, while Muslim bodies have supported it.
