Candidates walking the extra mile to woo voters

With only a few days remaining for the campaigning, candidates and political parties are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to the voters and woo them in various constituencies in and around the city. With the major parties, the TDP and the YSRCP finally releasing their manifestos, the candidates are trying to take forward the schemes into the public.

Minister and TDP leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao campaigned for Penamaluru Assembly candidate Bode Prasad and Machilipatnam MP candidate K. Narayana.

Mr. Rao called upon voters not to fall for the cash being distributed by some parties and exercise their right in a fair manner choosing what was best for the State.

YSR Congress Party’s Vijayawada MP candidate Potluri Veera Prasad and Vijayawada West Assembly candidate Vellampalli Srinivas conducted rachabanda interactive programme at the Cheruvu centre in Vidyadharapuram.

Also, Mr. Prasad’s college mates held a press conference at a hotel extending their support on the sidelines of an alumni meeting by the KL University Students Forum.

Forum coordinator and NRI Ch. Madhu and others said Mr. Prasad was the apt candidate with a vision for development.

To cover more areas and voters, the candidates have switched to roadshows.

Kesineni Srinivas (Vijayawada LS), Sabhana Khatoon (Vijayawada West), MLC Buddha Venkanna, TDP, and others conducted a show on the K.T. Road in Chittinagar and other areas in the evening.

Vijayawada Central Assembly BJP candidate Vamaraju Satyamurthy brought in yesteryear actor Kavitha and filmmaker Tripuraneni Varaprasad, actor Satya Chowdary and others for a roadshow.

Vijayawada East TDP candidate Gadde Rama Mohan too conducted a roadshow after a door-to- door campaign at the hillslope areas of Moghalrajpuram.
