I do not consider anyone a challenge, says Stalin

Tiruchi Dislodging the BJP rule at the Centre and the AIADMK government in the State is the only challenge before us now, said DMK president M.K Stalin in Tiruchi on Thursday.

“I do not consider anyone a challenge,” he observed when asked whether he viewed the AMMK to be a bigger challenge than the AIADMK.

In a brief interaction with media persons after expelled secretary of the South Chennai (North) unit of the AMMK V.P. Kalairajan joined the DMK in his presence in Tiruchi, Mr. Stalin said he could see from the rousing reception to his campaign that people were more keen than the Opposition on dislodging the BJP and the AIADMK governments.

Many more leaders and cadres from AMMK and other parties would join the DMK as they have realised that it was the only party which could dethrone the BJP and AIADMK, he said.

Denying that he had any differnce of opinion with the AMMK deputy general secretary TTV. Dhinakaran, Mr. Kalairajan said only the DMK and it’s ‘ bold ‘ leader Mr. Stalin could save Tamil Nadu and protect the Dravidian movement.Hence, he had joined the DMK.

A former MLA and one of the important office bearers of AMMK, Mr. Kalairajan was expelled from the party by Mr. Dhinakaran on Wednesday.

Mr. Kalairajan is the second leader of AMMK, after V. Senthil Balaji, to part ways with Mr. Dhinakaran in recent months.
