Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said here on Saturday the people would teach a lesson to the Modi-Shah duo for denying the SCS and not implementing the Reorganisation Act in letter and spirit.
He said no matter what conspiracies might be hatched by them, development would not come to a halt.
Taking strong objection to the transfers of officials by the Election Commission of India (ECI), he alleged that it was all a part of the game being played by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said it was the collective responsibility of the five crore people of A.P. to fight against the witch-hunting which the BJP was indulging in by virtue of being in power at the Centre.
He said the BJP-led NDA government had failed on all fronts and farmers were among the worst hit, which was evident from the massive protests by them in New Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and other places.
Mr. Naidu reiterated that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy mortgaged the State’s interests with Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR).
Having played second fiddle to Mr. KCR and confining himself to Hyderabad, he (Mr. Jagan) should have contested in Telangana and become a Minister there to further his personal agenda instead of colluding with the same forces which were responsible for the bifurcation, he said.
The fact that the TDP was in power for 22 of the last 37 years proved its credibility, Mr. Naidu said, exuding confidence that the people would give it a fresh mandate as a reward for its performance in the last five years.
