PM Modi to be in Gujarat on March 4

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in his home State Gujarat for a two-day visit from March 4 in what appears to be his last visit before the announcement of national elections.

He is expected to have a packed schedule in Jamnagar and Ahmedabad, including the opening of the first stretch of the first phase of Ahmedabad metro train project in the city.

The PM will inaugurate the route of the metro railway from Vastral station in the eastern part of the city. He will also lay foundation for the second phase of the metro train project, which was recently approved by the Union Cabinet.

Another event he will be attending is a 1,200- bed newly-built multi-specialty hospital in Civil Hospital Campus.

Both events are scheduled to be held on March 4.

Prior to opening the new hospital in Ahmedabad, Mr. Modi will also open a 750-bed hospital in Jamnagar, and address a rally there after laying foundation for a new water pipeline project in the Saurashtra region.

On March 5, he will launch a pension scheme for labourers in Ahmedabad and hold a rally. He is also scheduled to attend two events of the Patidar community in city.
