Poll malpractice: Cong. warns of legal action

Citing two past cases of complaints of bogus voting and impersonation filed by the district Congress in which polling officials are facing charges and investigation, the party has warned that officials found colluding with those engaged in polling irregularities should be prepared to face legal action.

At a press meet here on Saturday, K. Surendran, Congress leader and election agent of K. Sudhakaran, Congress candidate in the Kannur Lok Sabha constituency, said that if there were bogus voting and impersonation in the Parliament election here, those going to face probe and legal action would not be just people indulging in the electoral malpractices but also officials who were colluding with them.
