Expelled DMK leader M.K. Alagiri on Wednesday welcomed the decision to name the Chennai Central railway station after AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran and urged that the Egmore railway station be named after his father and former DMK president M. Karunanidhi. “I humbly request the Prime Minister to name the Egmore railway station after Dr. M. Karunanidhi,” said Mr. Alagiri in a letter to Modi.
