S. Selvaraj has taken charge as the Chief General Manager (CGM) of Andhra Pradesh Regional Office of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), on Tuesday.
Mr. Selvaraj is a post-graduate in Agriculture and a PG diploma in Business Administration and has 34 years of experience in development banking. He has worked in various States in different capacities and has headed the Uttarakhand Regional Office of NABARD. Before taking over the Andhra Pradesh Regional Office, he was heading the Risk Management Department in NABARD head office in Mumbai.
Giving fillip to the State government’s efforts to create required rural infrastructure, technology adoption in agriculture, nurturing and strengthening farmers’ producer organisations, financial inclusion, promotion of natural farming, giving boost to rural entrepreneurship and employment are some of his priorities.
