BCCI State units want to end impasse

The State association representatives of the BCCI, on Monday, resolved to end the confrontation related to adopting the new constitution set by the Supreme Court.

At a meeting attended by 16 State units, it was decided to “move on”, with an emphasis on getting rid of the Committee of Administrators (CoA).

The next hearing in the Supreme Court is slated for August 8.

The units that attended the meeting were Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Baroda, Saurashtra, Assam, Bengal, Sikkim, Manipur, Assam, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

The BCCI elections are scheduled to be held in October.

Bids invited

Meanwhile, the BCCI has invited bids for the title sponsor rights for international and domestic matches for the period commencing from Sept. 1, 2019 to March 1, 2023.
