Paper, scissors, rock: Jimmy Neesham shares picture of banter with Kings XI Punjab captain KL Rahul

It was the last delivery of the 20th over in the 3rd ODI against India and New Zealand, when Jimmy Neesham came into the way of KL Rahul, who was stealing a single off his delivery.

The inform India batsman looked unhappy initially but the situation did not escalate as both shared a smile and let it go but that was not the end of that banter.

Jimmy Neesham, who is known for his frequent social media posts which are witty and hilarious at the same time, took a picture from that banter and posted it on Twitter and captioned it, “Paper, scissors, rock?”

In the picture, the hand gestures of the two players appeared as if they were playing the popular game.

A fan commented on the post and asked the Kiwi all-rounder about who was sledging whom.

Ever sporty Neesham was quick to reply and said that it was “just a banter and nobody crossed the line”.

It did not end there as Neesham also requested his IPL captain KL Rahul to save some runs for the IPL 13 which starts on March 29. Neesham was bought for Rs. 50 lakh by Kings XI Punjab in the December 19 auction held in Kolkata.

Notably, KL Rahul scored 204 runs at an average of 102 in the 3-match ODI series. Rahul scored 112 runs in the third ODI to help his team recover from the early loses and post a target of 297 runs for the hosts.

The Kiwis maintained their winning momentum from the two matches and chased down the target with ease and won the match by 5 wickets to whitewash India 3-0 in the series.

The Test series between India and New Zealand starts on February 21.
