The day is finally here. 14 crore Indians will cast their votes in the first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha will see voting over 91 constituencies across 19 states.

At this crucial time, you must be wondering, “How do I find the polling booth near me?”. Well, worry not. Here’s a simple guide to finding your polling booth location.

In fact, the process of finding your nearest polling booth is quite simple. You can search for your polling booth online as well as through SMS.

How to find your polling booth online

1. Log into the official website of the National Voters’ Service Portal

2. Find the ‘Booth, AC and PC’ section under ‘Citizen Information’

3. You can find the information via two methods — either searching by your voter details or through Voter Id (EPIC) number.

3.1 Input the following information — your name, father/husband’s name, age/date of birth and gender. You can also search your polling booth by putting in your state, district and assembly constituency.
3.2 Otherwise, just put in your EPIC number and state and find your polling booth.

4. Voila! Your polling booth name and other details will appear at the bottom of the page.

You can click on ‘View Details’ to know your polling booth, parliamentary constituency and assembly constituency. Please note that before you search for your polling booth, you must check if your name is in the voter’ list.

How to find your polling booth via SMS

In case, you are not able to find this your polling booth location online, you can do this via SMS too. All you have to do, send an SMS to 1950.

What to write in the message? EPIC, followed by a space, and then your voter ID number.

You will receive a message with your polling booth name and location.
