On Tuesday, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav entered his 1 Polo Road bungalow in Patna for the first time since it was officially alloted to him.
The bungalow’s previous occupant was Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi but after the RJD-JDU alliance government fell in 2017, it was alloted to the new Leader of Opposition — Tejashwi Yadav.
After a long-drawn legal battle, Tejashwi Yadav had to vacate his existing residence at 5 Dashrath Marg as it was officially alloted to the deputy chief minister.
After reaching his new home, Tejashwi Yadav conducted an inspection. He accused Sushil Modi of damaging government property kept in the bungalow.
Speaking to Aajtak, Tejashwi said that he will not stay in the Polo Road bungalow. He said he will be living with his mother Rabdi Devi at her 10 Circular Road house.
The RJD leader added that he will be using the house allotted to him only for party meetings.
Tejashwi also slammed posters put up by the Janata Dal (United) around Bihar that say, “Kyun karein vichaar, thike toh hai Nitish Kumar (Nitish is fine, why think of anyone else).”

The younger son of Lalu Prasad said that Nitish Kumar has accepted that he is only a passable CM.
“Crime is prevalent in Bihar. There is flood, encephalitis, Srijan scam, Muzaffarpur shelter home case, Chief Engineer is setting ablaze people in his own office. It is not worth thinking about. They have come down to thik-thak,” Tejashwi said.
